FUSD Students Win Awards at California Invention Convention

An annual competition that highlights innovation had to get extra innovative this year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. But in spite of the challenges, the 2020 California Invention Convention took place in virtual form May 1st with over 150 inventors, representing 25 schools from all across California. Check out the list of participants with their inventions. Representing FUSD were students from Azevada, Chadbourne, Gomes, Hirsch and Vallejo Mill Elementary Schools, as well as Thornton Junior High School.


Two FUSD students earned Merit Awards and five Fremont entries won Industry Focus Awards


In addition, 10 FUSD students were invited to participate in the Virtual National Invention Convention in early June.
